The cities
An interesting observation about cities and town. From any part of the country, if we travel 50km, we will have a town. If we travel 250 km, we will find a major city. Upon thinking the reason behind this, came up with a small theory. This is a hypothesis and most likely to have happened during the early civilization period. While people had to move around for trading, they would have traveled on foot or animals. 50km is a normal distance to be covered in 5 hours. As they might have halted for lunch break during the travel, requirements like motel, refreshments would have gathered and due course formed township. 250 km is the distance that can be covered in roughly 18 hours. That would have been ideal to halt after a long journey. They might have needed further sophistication like special suites to take rest, do business etc. That location would have to hold more people for a longer period of time. That is likely to have gathered mass as human power is needed to cater to the traveling folks. This would have formed into cities.
