Who is intelligent?
A friend of mine sent this webpage. The message lingers in the mind even after the smile of the joke fades away. Is the society biased for the 'intelligent' species or is that the payment society gives for the learnt who really contribute? Is the mechanic really sees the smartness in people or he releases his frustration?

I am sure Dr. Isaac Asimov, the author of that narrative, was caught unaware, when he was questioned by that mechanic. Had he known that the question had a catch and had given a bit of his thought, he would have found the answer. Afterall, he is well-known for his science fiction stories which have much better twisters :-)
Also, very intelligent people have been found to be very focussed in their thoughts and this is a major reason why most of them are forgetful. So, unless they wishfully give a thought, their brains seem to ignore many things which are considered petty. So, I would vote that the mechanic afterall vented his frustration.
